    Why the Quick death
My ball python died suddenly. i recieved my firefly and fire about 6 weeks ago. i also have 22 other balls in my collection. They seem fine, ate every week live rat pups. Then on Dec. 8 i fed them both, the firefly regurgitated his food 2 days later. on dec. 16 they both refused food ok no big deal, but then i pick up the fly and he was doing a lot of twisting up, and he was very weak. Today Dec. 17 he died. please let me know any input Thank you.

    Hi,

If you refrigerate ( NOT freeze ) the body your vet may be able to find out what caused it.

There are a lot of possible problems and causes so I'm not sure people will be able to narrow anything down without more information.

I sure hope you had that snake in quarentine. There is no way it tell why it died. The best thing is to put it in the fridge (not freezer) and have a necropsy done. Sorry for yor loss.

And if I was not in quarentine, I would keep a very close eye on the rest of your collection.
