Breeding Females During Shed

Hey BP! As I've posted before, we are working on our very first season with our big female Aurora, and she's been locking up with our males since the beginning of November. Things seems to be going well and she's been bowl wrapping and cold seeking and we've been observing a two day with male, two day off schedule, but she's deep in blue, so we've ceased introductions. It seemed like an appropriate action, given the extra stresses of shedding, but I don't want to miss a copulation opportunity. Is it ok for me to put a male in with her while she's in the process of shedding (i.e. blue, weird between phase, actual shed)?

2 days in 2 days out is too often to pair them imo.

I pair once a week or less often if they have multiple lock ups during the 2-3 days they are together.
Your male will burn out if you pair 2 in 2 out.
THE best time to pair a male with a female is after she sheds, I will pair at the beginning of a shed coming on, but not when the female is in blue.

My females lock up fast when in blue. Ill always throw my male in once my female starts her shed cycle.

I also have never had an issue with a female locking in shed. Males on the other hand usually won't lock when they are in shed.

Even if you are using a couple males on the one female, 2 and 2 is too much. You shouldn't need to pair her so often. She should only need 2-3 pairs a month or so...

My snakes seem to just avoid each other if I try pairing during their shed cycles. They also seem to like ruining my pairing plans by staggering their shed cycles: first both males will start and as soon as they shed the females will.
