Her pied worth it?

I saw an ad on Craigslist for a 2 ft male, no specific age, and the owner says he bought it as a het pied, and that it has markers. It's only $40. I know markers are unreliable, but is it worth the chance that it is a het, or would it be just as cheap to get a het pair as getting a het female for him?

If you are looking to breed for pieds at some point, and you plan on starting with a pair of hets, I think you would be better off purchasing your hets from someone you trust. A male het from a well know breeder will not be much, if any, more than the snake you are looking at.

On our local reptile board, there is a thread were people post all the crazy CL ads. Some guy was selling a pied pair and said it's a 25% chance you'll get Albinos. Haha

I don't trust anything on CL, but that's just me.

Well, it looks like someone snagged it in the two hours I've been thinking about it/doing other things. Guess I'll have to get a het pair through a breeder anyway!

If they were both het albino, then that's an accurate statement :P

No Hets, I think he thought 25% of the snake was white or "Albino"
