    Lieutenant Dan :(
So my boyfriend had purchased me a baby corn from a breeder (who I now know doesn't use the best practice after importing from the US) for my birthday last year. We had him for about 4 or so months before one night I noticed him acting quite strangely. He was flipping his head upside down and was twisting himself so much. I thought he was going to tie himself into a knot! It was quite late at night, so my boyfriend and I had agreed to take him to the vet the following morning. Unfortunately we woke up and our little guy had died over night. I was devastated. I was quite iffy about snakes prior to getting Lieutenant Dan, but he grew on me so much. He had such a great little personality.

I've spoken with a far superior breeder (who I just this past week bought 2 baby balls from) and from what she knows of the breeder who we got our corn from, he most likely had crypto. I guess she's had it in her collection and doesn't quarantine properly, if at all. It's such a shame and so cruel.

Anyway, here's a couple pics of our little guy. RIP </3

Thanks, guys. It was a huge let down for us.
My boyfriend had offered to go out and buy a new one, but it didn't feel right just yet. Not to mention, I was neck deep in my nursing program and I knew I wasn't really prepared to take on a new baby. Now that I'm graduated and we've moved, the timing is a lot better. Our new baby balls can't ever replace him, but they share the same place in our hearts
