securing a thermometer?

I'm not sure how to secure my thermometer inside the enclosure. I can't find any threads that say how to do this either...am I missing something here?

I'd just set it in there. If you're concerned with the probe moving, use some hot glue to glue it down. That won't injure the snake (however...that said, remove you snake before hot gluing and then wait for the glue to dry before putting your snake back) and it can be pulled off and repositioned if you need to do so later.

How does scrubbing the tank work if you glue the probe down? Just curious.
And I was wondering about the actual unit, how to secure it to the side of the enclosure. What would make it secure but still allow you to remove it for cleaning? It's just sitting on top of my substrate at the moment.

You can hot glue Velcro to the thermometer and the wall of the tank.

I use industrial strength velcro to attach the unit to the center back of the enclosure, and to the floor over the heat source. Make sure the rough side is the one on the enclosure itself so it doesn't get messed up when you scrub. It's that simple.

Velcro is fine as long as it has no adhesive. Glue it with hot melt removing self adhesive Velcro from a snake is not going to be fun.

I have a question why fasten the probe at all? I don't yes they move around but with one end secured the snake cannot get tangled in it with both ends fixed they can.
