California Proposed Ban on importing Frogs and Turtles SHELVED
This morning, Fish and Game met in San Diego to discuss proposed bans/changes to the importation of frogs and turtles. At previous meetings, they had discussed this same topic, and today they were making the decision to continue to move forward with the process, or to stop it and shelve the issue.

Loren from LLLReptile as well as members of the reptile community in Southern California, including Sandfire Dragon Ranch, LA Reptile, ZooMed, South Bay Tropical, Ramy (Reptile SuperShow), and Phillipe deVosjoli all showed up at the meeting today and spoke before Fish and Game to ensure that keepers all over California could continue to acquire and keep frogs and turtles.

The agenda of the meeting can be seen by clicking here - the section that was overturned was item 7-C-2.

Thanks again to everyone who spoke, and be sure to keep an eye on your local laws and council meetings!
