Un-bred female only seeking cool side?

I have a 2010 female Spider I bought about a month ago. She was around 1300g when I bought her and is just over 1600g now.

The breeder told me she was a virgin and had not ever been paired when I bought her. She has not been paired with any males here. I am just confused by some of her behavior.

For the past two weeks she has only been seeking the cool side of her enclosure. Literally refuses to ever sit on the heat. (warm side is around 90 degrees, cool side around 75). Also, I often find her sitting in a perfect coil, as a female would coil on eggs. She has eaten like a MONSTER since she got here... Hence the 300g weight gain in just over a month... She just seems to be showing some behavior that a breeding/building female might show, yet she has not been bred. The breeder assured me again that she had never been paired. I am saving her for a male that is not ready to breed yet, so wasn't going to breed her at all this year. Ideas on why a female would be acting this way that hasn't been bred?

Throw a male on her, she wants to breed. :D

Snakes sometimes just do what they want, and more than capable of doing exactly what you're describing without ever having been introduced to a male.

Females develop follicles with out a male present...From the way she's eating she's ready to breed...She may already have follicles...Have you palpated her?

If she develops follicles and you don't breed her she will absorb the follicles...Then you have missed your chance for the year...

Ok, well elaborate on this for me then....

I have a male that I want to breed to her... But hes only around 4 months old and 350g. So I know he wont be ready for atleast a few more months. So if she is developing now, and reabsorbs if not bred soon, will that delay her from breeding in 4-5 months when he's ready? Breeding them as soon as he was ready was my original plan...

Basically, if its going to be a year before she developes follicles again, I may as well breed her with a different male that is ready now, because it will be another year before she will develope again anyways?

Well this may sound crazy but 2 seasons ago a local breeder and friend of mine bred a male at 6 weeks old. I'd say try your male. And if he doesn't take then put another male with her. Because she will resorb if you don't and it will most likely next season before she will take.

That doesn't sound crazy, more like dumb :(
Males at 6 weeks old have no business being put with any female.

Palpate her and keep palpating and if the male isn't ready when she goes into glow put another male with her.

Why not, he was producing plugs and the female took. You shouldn't put him with multiple females. But if he's ready to go I see no adverse problems. It's not like breeding a female that is too small.

hold on, first what is the male that you're waiting to get to size for that female spider?

A Pastel Enchi. The male I would put to her now if I needed to to not waste a whole year is a proven Lesser.
