Hungry?

hey everyone...new here...
Sheldon, my python is my 1st own ball python. now I just got him 4 days ago, how is a good way to tell when he is hungry? the pet store gave me a feeding chart, but i would like to know how to tell.

The day before Feeding day I usually catch my snakes cruising around their tubs like they're hunting. Or when I open their cages they will have their heads up looking for food. I know you have a feeding chart but just to be sure, you should feed your ball once a week (every 6 or 7 days consistently) and feed him food that is roughly the width of his widest part.
-Caution- Feed on a schedule and stick to it. Even if he looks hungry halfway through the week, stick to the schedule :)

I just brought home my two ball pythons last Thursday, but my rosy boas become more active when hungry. One is normally pretty inactive, until hungry, and is then out all the time. The other is normally pretty active, but becomes even more active and watches me (like a dog begging) when hungry.

Whenever its feeding day my ball python will always poke her head out of her hide and look around like she is searching for food. When i get near her enclosure she will come out even further. I keep her on a very consistent feeding schedule so I feel like she knows when its dinner time haha :)
