    So she is refusing food!
Hi there. My 1150 grams girl is finally refusing food. I am starting to worry a because she has not ate anything for three weeks now.
Cage set up: hot 90-92 cold 75-80 humidity 60%-75%. She is in a 55 gallon tank. She is almost 3 1/2 feet long. She has two of the same hides, one on the hot side and one on the cold side. I would post pics but i dont know how. Sorry. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

3 weeks is nothing: BPs will go months and months with no problems. Don't worry yourself and just relax. Seems like she might have hit the 1000 gram wall. Just part of having a BP. Don't stress and just offer food once a week or so

How long have you had her? Is she in a high traffic area? Lights or UTH? 3 weeks isn't that long, so it could be a seasonal thing. However, it's also possible that there is something about her setup she doesn't like. Aquariums aren't really good for housing BPs, so you might have better luck keeping her in a rack or tub. She will feel much more secure. In the wild they spend most of their time underground, so being in a 55gal aquarium may be stressing her out. If you're not going to move her to a tub/rack, at least try covering the tank with a towel for a while.

I bought a female 2010 het albino back in may? she was only 620g when I got her so I'm guessing that she hasn't been the best feeder before I boughther. Anyway, she has only just started feeding for me, drop feeding but alest she's feeding. In her six months of not feeding she only lost 11g, so I would have no worries with your lady!! :gj:
