    The Serpent Merchant
Honestly put as little as possible inside the cage. The more you have in the cage the more you have to clean/disinfect on a regular basis. Remember that cage decorations are for you and not the snake.

This is how I house all of my Ball pythons:

This has all of the necessities Proper temperatures/humidity, good hides, and a water dish. anything more is for you and not the snake.

Make sure you avoid anything that the snake can get stuck in/on and materials like wood that won't handle the humidity well long term.

As long as you offer him the proper temp gradient, a water bowl, and two hides for each side of his tub or cage, the rest is all about what YOU like. Decorating in a tank/tub is mainly for your aesthetic pleasing.

That said, if it's too big of an enclosure, then adding decorations like extra hides, plants, statues, etc. will help your snake feel more secure.

In order to truly answer your question, we need to know what type of enclosure (tank, tub, other) you have and how big is it.
