    Moving/travelling with my BP
So I have a really silly question. This weekend I am moving to a different city. The drive will be about 8-9 hours. I am taking my python with me in the car and was wondering how well the move with be for him? Will I need to get an adapter for my car so that I can plug in his lamp, or will he be okay without the heat for the drive? I'm really nervous about this. This is my first python so I'm not entirely sure how to go about this and if this is even a concern. I just don't want him to freeze or stress out during the drive. I have to run my A/C most of the time because my dogs get hot in the car, so it'll be pretty cool in the car the whole time. Has anyone else ever had to make a big move with a python and how did you go about it?? Any tips would be wonderful!

I would pack him as if you were shipping.
Something dark, maybe put his hide in there? Use a heat pack.
Let him de-stress once you have him set back up.

Put him in a snake bag or pillow case, tie it snugly around your snake to minimize movement. Put a 48hr heat pack in the bottom of a tub or cardboard box. Put either a piece or styrofoam or several layers or newspaper down then put the snake on top of that. Put more newspaper around and on top of your snake then close the tub/box. Make sure there are plenty of air holes around the bottom where the heat pack is so it does not deprive your snake of oxygen. Most importantly keep it out of reach of your dogs and do not leave it in your car unattended for more than a few minutes.
