Decent camera for macro

I'm looking for a cheap camera that takes decent macro. It doesn't have to be top notch just better than my iPhone camera. I don't want to spend over $200 if possible. But trying to look up macro cameras/lenses on my own all I found was $400+ range.

Anyone?

we have a cannon powershot sx120 is ... i think it was around 220 and isnt half bad. not a 7D though lol

1 cm focal range at it's widest opening. f2.0 apeture, full manual controls if you want them. SHARP leica glass elements. Low(ish) noise senor. This camera was pretty pricey when it first hit the market, but has now dropped to reasonable prices for those who want point and shoot but better controls and sharper images. I personally have the Canon 100mm f2.8 USM lens on a 7D Body for macro . . . but while this setup is incredible, it's overly cumbersome and really left best for the people who need that kind of detailed work. For most people this camera I posted above will do everything, and give you room to grow in your knowledge.

Sony MPEGMOVIEVX is a good one. The one I have was $400-$500 (I think?), but it's like five or six years old, so I'm sure it's a lot less expensive than that now. We have the new version of the same camera at work and it really isn't any better than the "outdated" model. Check maybe Ebay or Amazon, I bet you could find something used within your price range.

If you're open for suggestions, you could get a used DSLR off craigslist for around 200, with a kit lens. I shoot with a Nikon D70s I got around a year ago for 250 with a 55-200 f/4.6. The camera itself doesn't matter as much as the glass you throw on it, and with a DSLR you have the ability to match your lens to your needs. Out of personal experience and from opinions of others, Nikon seems to make the sharper kit lens as opposed to Canon, but it's also a matter of personal preference. Hope this helps!
