    Is there any point in ball python breeding where the female goes off feed? I ask because I paired normal x pastel and before hand she was eating, but now, nothing....I don't know what her dang issue is lol


    0.3 Normals (Coilette, Athena and Mary Jane)
    1.0 Pastel (De Sol)
    1.0 Spider (Zeus)
    1.0 Mojave (Prometheus)

    0.1 Brazilian Rainbow Boa (Stella)
    0.1 BCI (Kiyoko)

    Females will usually go off feed during the breeding season especially during the building stage. Males have a tendency to go off feed during breeding as they are more worried about tail than food.

    Unless your ball goes off feed for a year and or starts to show visual weight loss there is no need to worry.

    My females don't seem to go off feed until they are close to ovulating. I had one female that ate all the way up to laying. I didn't think she ovulated yet since they typically don't eat after they ovulate.

    That comes after mating correct? I've checked out the page that shows the different cycles on a snake getting ready but no time frames lol. But it has been about a whole month and a half give or take a week. So maybe that's why??
