    Question About Breeding Siblings
    Ok so there is a Problem... I'm Eye-ing pair of Cape York Spotted pythons.. Problem is that from 2 clutches that Particular Breeder Have the best looking male and female are siblings...

    My Question is how breeding siblings affecting affecting outcome of clutches in reptiles... I know that in BP world especially if You wanna get multiple gene animals or super form faster if fairy common...

    So it is safe ?? And if not what cons i could expected from breeding siblings together...

    (AND PLEASE NO REDNECK JOKES HERE :rolleye2:)

    It really doesn't seem to cause any problems unless you do it generation after generation. I don't think doing it once or twice in a blood line will result in any negative offspring except in a few rare cases.

    I haven't seen any ill effects from breedings siblings together in reptiles through the years I've been breeding. There is always the chance for kinking, bad eggs, dead babies etc, but I haven't seen or heard of these things being more prevalent in sibling breedings.
