    Getting worried
My snakes are breeding like crazy and I don't know how much time I have till I need an incubator. I bought a wine cooler on craigslist but its tiny and I don't know if I should waste my time with it as I might end up with with three clutches. What are the dimensions on an egg tub? I wish I could buy a descent one for 100.00 or so. Even if I had to buy a herpstat for it.

You can make one out of a large coleman cooler for around $150 including a thermostat.

This is my incubator with two egg tubs inside.
    Does that help?
When did the snakes first hook up? Just this fall? Then eggs should come this coming spring or early summer.....I started breeding in Sept and I will turn on my incubator in March. I always want in on weeks ahead of time to make sure its still ok.

I started in sept also and had planned to build a cooler incubator but in my excitement I failed to consider how much room I would need. Looks like I had better build one out of a fridge.

Look at craigslist for a broken mini fridge. They are all over and are typically free!! We just picked up a second one that was supposedly broken and brought it home and it works!! So now it s in the garage with spare soda in it! LOL...now I need another broken one

    Second.

Mini fridges along with wine coolers work great for incubators. Wine coolers typically have a glass style front so you are able to view inside without opening the door also. I have picked up at least three free wine coolers from craigslist in the past and all have worked great :gj:

Get a cooler or an old fridge. I use an old fridge -I got it off craigslist for $15, used it for a while then decided it would make a better incubator than beer fridge ;)

As far as time goes, if you haven't seen an ovy, you should have plenty. I built this out of a wine cooler I got off CL as well, and I can easily put 6 to 8 egg boxes in it.

    Good luck this season.
