    Weird snake rack problem!
Hey everyone so I made my own rack a while back it's a six level and I've been using the top three no problem with my herpstat two and temps have been stable for a few months. Now I hooked up my bottom three and the temps are going wacky the top tub hot spot is around 88 degrees while the lower is close to 99-102. My probes on top of my flexwatt in the middle shelf I'm using 3in flexwatt. Has anyone had any issues this? Any help would be appreciated thanks!:D

Forgot to mention each shelf has its own strip and they are wired in parallel!

Try moving the probe to lower shelves and see what temps you get.
If the connections aren't perfect shelf to shelf you will get different readings.
3 inch heat tape has to get very hot to be able to provide any ambient heat to a tub, I only use it for 6qt tubs for this reason.
