keeping snakes in carpeted room bad?
So I have my rack setup in my room right now and its carpeted. Ran into a guy today that claims to have had snakes for decades and he is telling me that keeping snakes in carpeted room is a bad idea as dust and tiny hair from the carpet gets into the snakes enclosure and make them sick. On the other hand I have seen video on youtube where snakes are kept in the bedroom hence carpeted floor. What are your opinions on it?

Most of my problems have simply involved me spilling 10% bleach/water solution on the carpet, and not noticing until discolored spots appear.

Never had a problem either: I have my rabbits in the snake room too to no ill effects on anyone.

It's a problem if you never vacuum the floor... With normal vacuuming there shouldn't be a problem
