Does anyone us Metronidazole (Flagyl) for Mites?
Just wondering what everyone uses for mites. I'm currently using PAM, but I'd like to explore other options.

What does everyone use? What draw backs are there for said products? Any special precautions needed when using them?

    Thanks!

Two pronged approach. PAM for the cage, Reptile Relief for the snake. We follow the procedure outlined in this article: http://lllreptile.com/info/library/c...h-snake-mites/

Flagyl is an anti-protozoan/antibiotic treatment and not a miticide.

    Jen's recommendation is excellent.

I used Frontline for puppies and kittens with great results. The downside is that it's not cheap. The upside is that it comes in a REALLY big bottle. You can hose down the entire house with it.

On the other hand, if you've got a BP that refuses to eat, a little Flagyl will fix THAT in a hurry.

I just used NIX a few days ago. It is the same active ingredient as PAM (meaning PAM is no safer), readily available at Walmart, and a lot less expensive.
