Just A Few Questions About Mouth Rot
Hello everyone, today i acquired a normal female proven breeder from a local breeder for FREE, the only thing was it had had mouth rot in the past.

Now, i haven't had any experience first hand with mouth rot but i have heard a few things here and there.

She currently has the scar healed and does not have any bright red areas in or around her mouth and she is also 2036g and feeding regularly.

    My questions are the following...
    Is mouth rot contagious?
Can It redevelop ? & if it could, what can i do to maybe keep her as far from exposure as possible.

Thank you so much for your time.
Oh and here is the girl, no pics of the scar, she is still not settled in to let me take a pic.

If she's healthy now and you keep her properly, shy of an accident you should not see a recurrence. It's usually caused by an injury, substrate stuck in the mouth or improper husbandry that lets a secondary infection take hold. She looks good from this end, if her mouth is good too then I wouldn't worry.
