Tubs a bit too big?

So I built my rack, and used cardboard spacers with my tub to get the right shelf height... Unfortunately the tub I used as a spacer was the smaller tub, I don't know how they had different dimensions since they are the same exact model, but the other tubs barely fit. Is there any way I can shave down the tubs to make them slide in a bit easier?

you probably used the old sterlite tub and bought the "new" ones.
you can shave the tops of them down but its a pain in the rear.
what size is it 28qt or 41qt?

Ok. I bought replacements, so hopefully they are the right size. If not I might try to sand down the top or cut off the rim

Depends how thick the plastic is, if its thick enough then use a rasp to get the main off then a file to smooth off nicely, youll probably be there forever with sand paper, although rough grade shouldnt be too bad

If the plastics not thick or youve got a lot to take off then use a hacksaw
