behavior question...

    so for the first 3 days I had him he preferred the warmer side of the tank....I fed him monday afternoon....since then he stays in the cooler side of the tank....I have the warm side heated by a thermostat regulated UTH and a heat lamp on a dimmer control (it was at 92 but ive turned it down to 90)....the cold side is a steady 76-77 degrees...

    Does anyone have a BP that just flat out likes things cooler?\

    humidity btw on both sides hovers between 45-55%

    Yes, quite a few of them won't just hang on the hot side and prefer the middle or cool end until they decide they need some heat :)

    Yep it's just a snake preference. In the wild, Ball Pythons will mostly stay in their hole until they get cold and want some sun, get thirsty, or smell an opportunistic meal scurrying by.
