Some fun babies from an odd clutch this season
Had a total surprise clutch from my fire paired to a mojave this season. She gave me none of the typical signs, and she laid super late, dureing hurricane Isaac actually, I came back after evac' <after the storm was over, just to escape the heat from the power outages> to find her with eggs. She didnt coil them, but all candled ok. Two were pretty small.
She dropped six, All hatched, there were twins in one egg, I think possibly twins in another egg because one baby came out rather small and there was a.. mass left inside that didnt look like yolk. Unfortunatly the twins and poss twin all died within a few days of leaving the egg. One of the fire mojaves came out with a really flooded eyecap thats an ongoing issue so it will likely have a permanent home here.
End results for the survivors.. One mojave, one fire, two fire mojaves.

Firemojave with the bad gland. Its been drained. Im waiting till shes alittle older before we consider surgery.

The mojave and fire mojave after shed. The firemojave is a -fatty- there was so much yolk in her when she hatched out..

Fire female. Not a normal in the clutch. The other poss twin that died was a fire mojave, unfortunatly I didnt get any pictures of that one. It was pretty to, would have been my hold back.

A shame when you lose any of 'em :( But I'm glad you have some beautiful healthy babies out of it!
