First bad shed :(

So I've been ill and was in the hospital a few days, and when I got back I found my little Fire had gone into shed. I think he got dehydrated because his water bowl was dry when I got back... ughhhhh.

I immediately added fresh water and bumped up humidity, but it was too late. He shed the next day, but it's stuck and wrinkly.

What should I do? I don't want to stress him too badly, but does he need a soak? Or should I wait for the increased humidity to help a bit? This is the first time this has ever happened to me and I feel like a terrible person, please help ;;

When it happens to me I just put a folded up wet towel in the cage and over the day they take care of it themselves.

I take a warm wash cloth and place the snake in it (if it's a large adult, you can use a towel). I wrap them up like a burrito and while applying gentle pressure, allow them to slither out on their own. Usually the damp cloth with the pressure is enough to get the shed off.
