How much is too much for Ball Python feeding?
    Hi,
I got female Russo BEL from Vin Russo in very early September 2012. She weighted 273g on September 9. Last friday (11/9/2012), she was 490g empty after she shed and poop. The next day, I gave her 2 rat weanlings and 2 large mouse for total of 100g. She finished all four rats and mouse but still asking for more. Should I give her more than 100g of rats and mouse next time? Her feeding schedule is every 7 days. I plan to give her small rat at the end of November but small rat only weight about 60g to 80g.

15% of the snakes body weight is usually the rule of thumb for ball pythons for a single feeding.

Up until they are eating sm/md rats, then you stick to one small / medium once a week.

The 15% rule is for hatchlings up to around 500-600g or so.
