Caring for a Shipped Ball Python
So I just made my first purchase in the world of BP morphs, a 66% pos het pied Pewter female. Now she's going to be shipped to me on Tuesday. My friend, who is way more experienced with reptiles than I am, seems to know what to do with snakes once they arrive. Don't touch them for at least a week, etc. But I was just wondering if any of you guys, who most likely have way more experience caring for shipped reptiles, have any instructions? What are your procedures when you receive a young (4-5 month old) BP?

    Thanks!

Inspect it for illness, genetic defects, and mites

Take a quick picture or 2

Put it in its cage and leave it alone for a week - if I don't see it AT ALL I will check on it after 2 or 3 days, but they almost always come out right after dark and cruise around to inspect their new home (find a way out)
