    Two More Noob Breeding Questions
When breeding, do you guys/gals introduce the male to the female's tub or the female to the male's tub? Does it matter?

Second.....when you put them together do you take the hide out of the tub or leave it in? Does it matter?

    Thanks!!!!! :salute:

I introduce the male to the females tub. People do it both ways but I like this better because I dont want to disturb my females if I can avoid it. Definately take out the hides so they cant hide from eachother. I leave my water bowls in but its probably a good idea to take them out as well since they will often tip them over with all the foreplay. Goodluck:gj:

I put the male to the female tub. The females generally live in larger tubs so there's more room for them. And remove the hides and usually the water dish too.

None of my breeding females use a hide except a few shy ones I recently brought in.

Moving a female can work I suppose, but I'd never do that :rolleye2:

I also move my male into the females tub. Most of my snakes dont use hides but if they want to they burrow under the news paper. i switched to using different kind of water dish so now even my big girl (3700 grams last year) cant tip it so i dont take mine out.

I agree with all the rest. I never take out my females. I always introduce my males into the females tub. I don't keep hides in my racks since they're fully enclosed and dark in the back. They seem to like it that way. As far as water bowls, i keep mine in the tub at all times. I have ceramic large water bowls so they cant tip them, just move them around.

I, too, place the male in the females tub. None of them use hides but if they did I'd remove it. I also recently started removing water bowls. None of my snakes sick, but just thought of cross contamination through saliva worries me.

I do the same, all my females are in larger tubs so the males go into them.
