Het. Red Axanthic? Red Axanthic?

What is it? I guess I just don't know a lot about this morph. Anyone want to try and help explain this morph with pictures? I like pictures. :D

I'm curious too..it seems to be more of an enhancer morph it seems?

Het Reds are a Co-Dominate morph (like pastels) the super form of which is the red axanthic.

They aren't all that much on their own, but they make some really cool combos!

Het reds are a visual incomplete dominant morph. They are not the regular "het". Red axanthics are the super form of the het reds.

Looks wise they resemble the green pastel (think cinnamon and black pastel) and tend to do similar things in combos. At least from what I have read. Another similar morph is the Lace Black Back I believe.

Sadly I do not have pics, hopefully someone who is working with the morphs can shed more light on this for you, as I am just relaying what I have read.

I think it was the "het" that was throwing me off. I kept seeing people refer to them as het reds but I also remember people talking about them not being recessive. I think in my quest to try and uncover/clarify this morph, I confused myself. I will agree though, Red Axanthics are pretty nice. I probably would never work with this morph. I tend to like things that are very obvious to the less skilled at distinguishing morphs (spiders, albinos, pinstripes, lessers, etc.). However, I do enjoy genetics and enjoy trying to learn how to distinguish them all.
