    You'll have to wait till his adult coat comes in, if you're trying to be exact. There are a lot of rat colours that look identical as babies...

    Champagne is a PED Black, Beige is a RED Black. Looks like a Beige to me. :)

    I have her and a beige hooded female. I was thinking of breeding them to a agouti hooded male what do you think I'll get.

    Assuming the agouti doesn't carry red eye recessive then you'll get black and agouti rats that carry red eye recessive genes.
    If the agouti carries red eye you could make more beige and agouti and maybe another dilute of agouti, but that one escapes me.

    The one in the picture looks like a red eyed black rat aka beige

    I have some like that, they are beige. I have started getting a blue beige color, it's really cool. But I just can't catch the color with my camera. Unfortunately I don't have the beige parents anymore, they were old. I did keep one female beige to breed to a blue dumbo, and kept one male blue beige. That was the only blue beige I had.
