Awesome! That is a beauty for sure.

Matt is a great guy and has very nice animals. We also just got a box from him today. We got his Mojave dinker het hypo clutch: 2 mojave het hypos and 2 het hypos as well as the (normal) mother of the clutch. Not sure but we are thinking that the mother may be YB. We also received a sub adult male Calico from him along with this shipment. They all came in in good health and better than advertised. He is a great breeder and has very good costumer service. All in all a great guy and we look forward to doing more business with him in the future!

Gorgeous girl, and I like the packing style.

I gotta admit the box inside another box made me think of this though. :P

    She's beautiful! Congrats!

I have an "off topic" question as a somewhat newbie to the snake world. We've had our normal for about 6+ months now. (our first snake)
I am much more "cautious" when I handle her. And your video made me think maybe im too cautious?? Meaning that sometimes I still get a little freaked out that she's going to strike at me (only when in her tank & getting her out- I never feel that way, once she's out) but I still move her much slower from hand to hand- pretty much let her do the moving. I dont flip her around, etc. And if she bumped my hand, like yours did several times in the video. I always feel really bad- like Im stressing her out even more then she is already stressed from being handled.

Your video made me think that im being too cautious and maybe I should be a little more "aggressive" (not literally- but you know what I mean) in my handling, so she gets use to it- especially if I want her to be comfortable with others handling her.

Just curious on your opinion and others as far as handling. Im always looking out for whats best for our baby :)

@ Lisn123 Our first BP has been handled regularly by our 6 year old boy and as you can imagine he is less than gentle while handling the snake. We have purchased 3 others since then & I have to say the 1 he holds most (his) is the most tame & comfortable being held.

I think its a great question I mean i never really thought about it to be honest. Hatchlings are a normally a little more skittish and flighty than sub adults/adults for the most part but i feel like they get use to being handled as they age. I have a couple other hatchlings ive acquired this season who would hiss and ball up at first but now there pretty use to me handling them like i do in the video. The more you handle them the better they will get.

Thank for the replies- It makes sense to me - the more you handle the more they get use to it. But I've always been extra cautious- moving slow, etc. The snake is "technically" my daughters, and I feel im always telling her "slow down, dont move to fast, dont startle her" etc. but maybe I should just let her be, so the snake gets use to a little more movement.
She always seems just fine- she has never coiled up in a ball, since we got her. She'll sit still for a while, when we first take her out, but soon after she starts cruising all around our hands, legs, etc. So she seems ok and not "stressed" :)
Just curious what others thought- thanks again!
