    Let the winter fasting begin
My male normal that weighs over 1300 grams refused his meal last night. It is official, the winter fasting has begun. I do not have any girlfriends for him so he is out of luck. His fasts usually last about three months and then he will feed for another three weeks and then go off feed again. The joys of owning ball pythons.

I know how you feel. Especially when they're only pets, you want to handle them and just have them eat. But they have other plans :P

Weird, every single one of our 50+ snakes is eating :P
Winter fasting is something they do when breeding in the winter, if you keep your temps up nice and warm then they don't typically go off feed, especially if they aren't breeding.

I've always thought that females will eat because they are producing eggs. And that males will eat even better because they are breeding. Not the other way around :/

At least our males are eating like monsters and our females are demolishing their food too.
