    Locking The lids on tubs
I notice some sterilite tubs come with the locking lids, But some people on here have said the bigger the snake, it can still escape. So what else can be used to help secure the lids on tubs? Thanks

I believe on the sticky in husbandry for how to set up a tub it shows them using luggage straps? I could be wrong about the location, but I know I've seen it suggested more than once for tubs not in racks.

    Found it!

    - The Binder Clips are used to pinch the tub and lid together to close any gaps and reduce the chance for an escape. I also use luggage straps on my tubs, even though they are really only needed on one tub. I just like everything uniform.

Yeah. With the clipped tubs, the snake can escape in the middle portion of the lid where there are no clips.
I have a rack, but for my stand alone tubs, I use giant binder clips or heavy duty clamps from home depot.
And as suggested before, bungee cord and luggage straps will work fine too.

I haven't had an escape yet, and all I did was lay a book or two on the lid to keep them in.

I always used mini bungee cords - two per tub for the large adult ones:

And 1 in the center for the smaller tubs:

Back when I used them, I found individual tubs like that worked so much better than tubs in a rack. Go figure. :)
