Funny Breeding Behavior

I've noticed that when I put Fabio in with his girlfriend, Charlotte, he starts cruising around her tub with the tip of his tail lifted up into the air. I don't have the heart to tell him that it's the girls who are supposed to scent the tub. :)

Anyone else notice interesting behaviors from their males or females?

I usually only have my females show such behavior but then again snakes are weird and not the most intelligent creatures out there.

Is he showing any interest in the female, if he is I would not even worry about it. Another thought of mine was that he may have to go to the bathroom and is about to explode. Now that I have seen my snake do.

Males will do this too. I have males that do full on waves thoughout the tubs, arching up their backs any everything, and pushing their tails into the ground. They scent too:D

Last time my BP lifted up its tail it peed all over me...:mad:

I have had males do it occasionally as well. It is a little weird, but as long as he eventually does the deed with his girl, rock on.

My mojo male has been doing that too!

Males scent as well! Both sexes have pheremones that they use to find each other with.

Very true, i have found traces of what looks like pee on my females, im guessing that's my males scent.

And Fabio has bred Charlotte once before. He does the body arching as well. He puts on quite the show for her.
