My new project

I've decided to become at minimum a hobbyist breeder. Much patience and homework will be needed as I seek to purchase a Mystic and a Mojave Ball Python. I want to become a Mystic Potion breeder and create something entirely new. Wish me luck![/]

Good luck! We are breeding our Mystic to Mojave and a Phantom to a Mojave for the first time this year! Hope we get some great results too.

What do you mean by something new? I want a mystic potion! Not buy one, but make one, I mean. The whole reason that I breed is to make awesome snakes and whenever I see a Mystic I always want to buy it to pair with a Mojave!

Good for you, man! I had dreams of being a huge reptile breeder when I got starting, and who knows... but the way the market is right now, it's looking like a hobby.

My advice is that you still keep careful track of your expenditures so that you know when your hobby is breaking even and when it is a money hole. That's what I started doing lately, and it makes me feel a lot more secure when I'm shelling out so many thousands of dollars on snakes.

And, we are looking for a mystic male right now for our mojave girl. Mystic potions rule!

And to the poster above me, phantom...I NEED IT! They are gorgeous snakes also.

I want to produce the MYSTIC POTION, grow it, and breed it into other things. I still have a lot to learn about genetics, like what will and wont present itself. Something like enchi, spider, or calico maybe.

Make sure you get a really nice mystic, if you breed it to other morphs you want to be able to tell if you make a mystic combo or a mojave combo.

Mystic Postion Spider would be sweet, I'd bet!

Potions do not reproduce themselves without one of the ingredients being present in the other parent too...

So if you breed a Potion to a Pastel you will just make Mystics, Mystic Pastels, Mojos and Mojo Pastels...No Potions or Potion Pastels...

If you want to make Potion Combos you need to stock up on Mojave Combo females now...Raise them up a year and then get a Male Mystic Combo to breed to them when they are ready...This is that best/fastest way to make Potion Combos.

mystics won't throw mojaves, did you mean mystic potion, they will produce mystics or mojaves but not both at the same time.
