Anyone know of any good reads concerning genetic diversity in captive snake populations in relation to breeding? I ask in light of the apparent common practice of inbreeding first generation clutchmates in pursuit of certain traits. Was just wondering if there was any data collected on how this may or may not effect temperment, disease-resitance etc etc.

No - it had been a pre-existing query - but couldn't google up anything good.
