Well, what kind of budget for caging and supplies do you have?

My first suggestion, if youre going to keep it in an aquarium, set it all up first.

How will you heat it? A UTH - untertank heater is your best option. Which needs to be regulated by a thermostat. A good t-stat will cost around 100 bucks, a not so good t-stat goes for 30-40.

Substrate - people use various beddings, but the top 3 are newspaper, aspen, and cypress mulch. I use cypress for all of my tubs in my rack system.

Other words of advice - find a reputable dealer to buy from. Not only do you get quality, even with normals, but most breeders sell normals at cheaper than pet store prices. Never use a heatrock and ball pythons are exotic animals, they need a decent amount of humidity to shed properly.

And welcome to the forums :) im sure someone has responded before I can finish this. Inbetween feedings xD

Welcome, Sabrina, and congrats for doing your homework before you bring a new animal into your life. This forum is the best resource I've found for getting started in the hobby. Consider it a 24/7 support network, and use it liberally!
