    Should I worry?
We got this ball python around May. She ate four times for us. She weighed 770g in May. In June/July she ran all the way to 957g. We figured she's not empty. So in July she stopped eating. We weighed 880g in August. We weighted her last month at 850g. She's still not eating. But it seems that everytime we put her food her rack she just hisses and she seems pissed off. Her hot side is at 91 and cool side it as 80. We have two hides for her. And she's always hiding. I'm not sure if something is wrong with her or not. But I figured I'd feel better if I got others opinions.

Same thing happened to me, my lesser female stopped eating at 400G and didnt eat for like 6 months. Now she is about 750g and her sister is already 1600g. Sucks but it happens.

But I'm more worried about the hissing. She seems like when we give her food she's just pissed. And when snakes are pissed, I feel like they're stressed. Maybe doing something wrong.

as long as she's not losing a lot of weight this is normal. with many young females, they hit a wall around 800 grams and stop eating. some females will be off feed for months. don't stress her out by offering food too often. some where between 7 and 14 days is fine. I offer more towards the 14 day time frame. once she eats then go back to your normal feeding time frame.

the hissing is that she doesn't want to eat and the rodent is stressing her.

Trick that worked for me is I offered a ASF and she took it, then switched back to rats and hasnt looked back since. Dont know if it will work but worth a shot?

I only offer her food every 14 days now. But she's still just hissing. Although the moment I take it out and check on her she's all sweet like a puppy dog.

We've tried rats and mice. No ASF yet.
