    Odd behaviour and won't eat
I've been having a horrible time getting my boa to eat, and now my ball python won't eat either.

Both snakes are going on about 5 weeks since a meal. I picked up the boa at the expo in Toronto on Sept 15th.

The boa stares at the rat like its a brick wall, and my ball python is more concerned with getting out of his cage than eating. I'm more worried about the balls behaviour than not eating, as I think if I feed him earlier in the day he will wake up and only concentrate on eating. But why does he always want to get out? Temps are perfect (although ambients are a little low as its getting colder, no lower than 76-77 at night and 79 during the day). PVC divided enclosure, boa is on radiant heat, and ball is on both radiant and flex watt on a herpstat 1 and 2.

Wtf mate. Both are on ft, ball has been on it for a year.

Edit: ball is literally trying to dig out of a solid PVC enclosure. What the hell is wrong with him!

How are you measuring your temps? Are you sure of them?

4 separate digital thermometers and a temp gun.

Sometimes they will just not want to eat, there may be nothing wrong, just offer food every week and they will most likely eat when they are ready. I keep boas and pythons; I've had a boa refuse food for over 5 months and had a ball go off feed for 9 months and both eventually went back to eating on a regular schedule.
