Selling Morphs

I was just wondering if any of yall ever have any trouble selling your morphs. Thanks

Some morphs will sell better than others. Most will sell faster if they are good examples of the morph. Some morphs like pastels are produced by the thousands each year so there are a lot of them on the market. You aren't guaranteed to sell anything so you have to be prepared to take care of any offspring that you produce.

That said morphs generally should be easier to move than normals if they are of decent quality.

quality, quality, quality, nothing matters more when it comes to ease of selling.

Definitly think it depends on the morph, my buddy is sitting on 5 200g male womas right now.

If you are breeding for quality then you shouldn't have too much of a hard time selling even the simple morphs. There are always people out there looking for a regular pastel, spider, pin, mojave... I could go on..

Also, taking good pictures of your animals to post online will greatly help your sales. People are much more willing to buy an animal that has excellent pictures rather than pictures taken by a crappy cell phone cam.

Some people will have trouble and some wont. There are many variables that effect the ability to sell your snakes such as reputation, quality, presentation, qualities of the owner, ect. For instance, I have had several clutches recently and have only been able to sell 2/3 of them even though they are pretty nice representations of the morph, priced accordingly, I have multiple positive feedback, I take care in selectively breeding, and my snakes are essentially the same snakes you would get from a bigger more well known breeder (for instance, I purchased my fires directly from Constrictors unlimited, my yellowbellies from BHB, and so on). However, people are much more likely to purchase these morphs from them because of their name, presentation, and reputation. It is the combination of factors that will help you to move your snakes. On the other hand just make sure you have the room and resources to care for many hatchlings just incase. Even the best looking examples of morphs can produce some ugly ducklings that nobody may be interested in. Its all about knowing how to market what you are selling and letting people know why they should purchase from you.

In addition, in order to sell something you must first know what people want. Everybody places more significance on different things and this influences their buying behavior. Some are looking for what they think is a "quality" representation, some focus on attributes of the seller, some are concerned with the name/line, some give more wieght to pricing, some on presentation, communication, accessability, and so on. Once you can figure out what someone is looking for you can help them to find what they are looking for. Keep in mind, you dont want to sell something to someone, nobody likes to be sold on something. Instead, show them why they need what you have to offer, how what your offering fits their needs, and why they should buy from you. Dont sell anybody anything, offer them solutions to their needs.
