Lurker not poster til now..
I have an opportunity to buy a tsk anthanic male (age unknown at present time) who is a proven breeder. The current owner is selling him for 350. I understand the " if it seems too good to be true, it probably is." This price seems to good to be true..what do I need to look out for when looking to purchase ball pythons from individuals? Thank you very much for any insight or wisdom anyone can share.

I can't at the moment. I have not even seen the snake in person yet.

Sometimes you get lucky, too, and get a really great snake. I would have a herp vet ready to take it to as soon as I got it to have a full check-up done just in case, though. When you get him, look him over thoroughly yourself. Check for mites and any sign of odd behavior. (Excessive stargazing, drunk slithering, drooling, excessive yawning or breathing with his mouth open, open wounds or sores, etc.) If both you and the vet declare perfect health, then pat yourself on the back for a great deal on a wonderful companion!
