When it breathes it whistles and limp tail.

I just acquired what I believe is a Mojave male from the shelter today. Its condition is fair but i have some concerns.
First of all. Most time when it breathes it tends to make a whistle sound. I checked his mouth and it has no bubbles or anything. It looks pretty good. So do you think its nose might be a little blocked? The shelter was not keeping it warm.
Secondly is its tail end. From a few inches before the vent to the tip of the tail its kind of limp. like if I wiggle the end it just flops around but when I tried to hang him from just the tip of his tail he hooked it around and had a firm grip. So is it something to worry about or is it normal? Ive just never had any of my snakes do that.

Some of my snakes will whistle from time to time. It usually has something to do with something blocking the nostril. Most commonly it is a bit of stuck shed.

As for the tail thing... I don't really know. Maybe you could shoot a video to show what you mean? It sounds like it might just be normal though. Ball pythons don't really use their tails a whole lot.
