Hey guys, do you use dropbox??? I do and I love it. It's great for linking pictures from your phone and such directly to your PC. If you guys don't use it and you are interested please use this link to sign up so I can get some more free space, thanks :D

I love it too. It's great when you have multiple devices and computers.

There is a big hook with it however... I have a client who insists on using it so I have it.

Dropbox is a GUI FTP service it stores and makes available a ftp location basically anyway. It isn't hugely expensive and works ok there are a couple of pit falls however.

The big pit fall I have 110 Gb of space if I share a folder with multiple people some with a free account at say 5 Gb (I don't recall what the free amount is anymore) If that shared folder is larger than any one persons cap their account freezes until they empty the shared folder that change is duplicated across all the accounts. The shared folder is only as large as the smallest limit of any person on the share. If you know and understand this it isn't a problem if you don't it can be very quickly, especially if the free user uses it a lot.

The other pit fall is names, dropbox appears to be on unix or mac based and as such you can upload any file name you want and access it from unix/macs if you have used an illegal name for a pc however it is invisible on that computer where it is there on other systems. Not a problem if you know about it.

You install it on your smart phone, pc, and tablet. When you take a photo on your phone, it is instantly uploaded online and to all other devices linked to your dropbox account.
