    Hello all,
I just thought I would update on "Carl" the last Brazilian Rainbow Boa. Sadly in the early hours of today, he passed away.
We were really hoping he would pull through, but he was just not gaining enough weight or strength to fight off the infection in his eyes.
I hope he is in happier place now.
    Sincerely
    Rusty

Chin up Rusty...Carl received nothing but the best while in your care...take comfort in the fact that you made his time with you as pleasant as possible.

Thanks for all your hard work!!! For every occasion like this, there are so many more lives that you save & enrich. Stay focused on the positive!

Ditto what K said....I'm very sorry this one didn't pull through, but also very grateful for the many more that do! You do excellent work, Rusty!!

Rusty, I'm sorry you lost Carl too. I'm sure it's tough losing one even when you know they came in struggling. I don't know if you have seen the thread yet, but we lost Seymour last week to his respiratory infection despite regular meds and vet visits and whatnot and it's terrible to lose one of them.

thank you all for such great support.
My husband and I both worked with him diligently, but sometimes they are better off passing.
Marla I am so sorry to hear about Seymour's passing.
    Thanks
    Rusty

Rusty, thanks. As you know, it's not easy to let one go. At least we know that we did what we could for him and did not neglect his care, as you and your husband know with Carl. I'm sorry you lost him.
