Hi everyone, I offered my first fresh killed rat to my little guy today :D And as usual he had to try eat it butt first before getting it right
Killing the rat was not fun though :(

You really do get used to killing them real quickly. Soon you'll just take em outta the box, wack em, and think nothing of it. Read this, I actually thought about it for once :P

Congrats Raj! That's great. I fed my guys last night and saw that the mouse barely left a lump in Snyder, so it's definitely time to start working on switching her over.

Hola Marla! Yah even a big mouse barely left a lump in my little guy(At two feet, he is not so little any more) so the switch to fresh killed rats :D Actually I fed him a stunned rat last week and the thing came kicked a whole lot that I was afraid it would scratch my little baby to bits!

Thing is, I will not feed live rats to Snyder, because it's too dangerous, and frozen rats don't seem to be readily available around here. That means I'm going to have to do my ordering online, and that's probably still a couple of weeks off. Unless, of course, I do some rodent order-sharing with the woman at Petco as we briefly discussed.

That is a good idea. A small rat at the pet store was $4.35
