    Flexwatt
Ok I just got paid today and bought almost everything I need. I just need to know some info on this flexwatt stuff.

*Its tape right? So it just sticks onto the bottom of your tank?
*I have a 20gallon tank for my python, what wattage tape do I need for it?

    -Note-
I did buy a thermostat for it.

The tape you want is the aluminum type tape that is used on Duct work. It looks like this:

Flexwatt does not have any stickiness to it.

Flexwatt by itself is not sticky, it is just a strip that heats up. I think most people here use 4" or 11"

If you are new to Flexwatt, have Rich at RBI hook you up. Plus, there are tons of videos online to help.

I'm planning on building a custom terrarium similar to the one in the picture. I want to use Flexwatt or heat cable. Is the under tank heat the only source that will be needed? Will I still need a CHE or lamp in each cage? Does Flexwatt heat the ambient air at all?

If you need uv for your pets, then you will still need to use a lamp. Flexwatt is great for snakes since they do not need uv. Flexwatt does not warm the ambient temperature a large amount.

Right now I just have 3 ball pythons. Possibly a blood python next year. I could probably use a long UV light fixture for light and it would warm the air to around 80.
