Hi new here and to balls!
Hey every one like my thread says I'm new to ball pythons. I bought my first one aug 1st he is a two year old Normal. Just last week I bought a hatchling male fire. It's my goal to make a Lucy.

Some questions I have are about feeding. My fire is eating a live mouse hopper every 5 days is that good when can I get him eating bigger and on a weekly schedule. He was hatched out July 31.

My normal is supposedly 2 years old he is eating one f/t small rat once a week how that should I be feeding bigger or more often.

Once a week feeding is fine. The size of your prey depends largely on the size on the snake. If you stick with something roughly the same girth as the largest part of your snake you'll usually be fine. If you go much larger you'll probably want to give them more time to digest before feeding again.

I agree with the above! I generally feed my hatchlings every 5 days and my adults once a week. I keep their prey to roughly the size of the widest part of their belly.
