    Thermo/hydrometer mod!!!!
I used the mod on the forum to mod the thermometer I got from walmart. I unsoldered the inside of box thermometer probe and hydrometer probe. Took the crazy long cable that came with the thermometer and cut it into 3 pieces of the same length, then soldered each probe onto each cable (1 was obviously already done) and then soldered them to the appropriate spots on the board back inside the box of the thermometer. I then used a thimble with some holes drilled all around it to put the hydrometer probe in so it doesnt get wet and then hot glued it to the upper side of the middle of the middle tub in my rack, then I hot glues a probe on the cool and warm sides which sealed in the wires and all from any water or dampness that may get to it. I think it is so much better than putting the whole box in the tub so now I dont have to open my pastels tub every time I need to see the temps/humidity!!!!!

Here is the link in case anyone hasn't seen it and wants to perform this mod as well!!!

Just be careful, adding or subtracting too much wire can effect readings. (same goes for using different gauge wire)

But it looks good, and as long as it is still reading accurately I'm sure that it will be much more convenient.

Yes yes it is!!! Reading perfectly, infact I think the humidity is reading even more accurately.

But I also have a pic here of the hydrometer and how I mounted it inside teh thimble!!!! (Please don't worry about my crappy looking hot glue lol)

I am looking to get some bigger buttons to use instead of the thimble as it sticks out a good bit and will easily be taken down if he gets on top of it I am sure. But it SHOULD do for now until I get the buttons!!!

Also, you can see as I took each pic the humidity was rising lol, I had the tub open while installing the probes, so all the heat and humidity got out, thats why its going back up!!!!
