Too Small?

I have a female ball python that weighs 2000g in a 41 qt tub and I know a lot of people said the 41 qt tub is big enough. I think she has room but her hide is too small for her. Is it absolutely necessary to have a hide in a rack? You can see through the tub, maybe 80% visibility. I cannot find a bigger hide that will fit inside the tub/rack.

The only thing I can think of is to replace the tub with something that you can't see through. Suggestions?

If she still eats for you and seems comfortable without a hide then its fine. You have to know your snakes personality and judge based on that. My males are both pretty flighty so they still have medium RBI hides until they outgrow them. I still have a a large RBI hide in my female cinni's tub bc shes a nervous snake. She's 1400ish grams now. My normal and pastel both dont have them. They'd probably use them if i gave it to them but theyre just as happy without them lol.

I can't tell if she's comfortable with or without the hide BUT she does eat well. I'd put a rat in her feeding tub and takes less than 5 seconds for her to strike.

Take out the hide and monitor her behavior. Feed her in her enclosure/tub too, itll make her feel more secure.

You could just put paper on the outside of her tub so it's nica and dark, see if that makes a difference..?
