BP has tongue, but she doesn't use it.
I know it sounds strange, but my female Butter Ghost has a tongue, but she never sticks it out. I don't think it has caused her any kind of problems because she is healthy and the right size for being hatched in 2011. I am just getting ready to feed her for the first time with frozen/thawed, but she has been eating fresh kill in the past. Has anyone ever heard or seen this in a BP or any other snake, as far as the snake not using its tongue? Any advice would be greatly appreciated pertaining to feeding her. She is very active at night, has shed a perfect shed about 5 days ago and produced a large healthy looking bowel movement 2 days ago.
Thanks! :rolleye2:

Also, I forgot to mention she has been checked out by a vet and does not have mouth rot or anything else that the vet could see. Checked for parasites and many other things that might have caused it, all tests came back normal.

My sons Normal is very similar he hardly ever has his tongue out. He has been that way as long as we have had him he is healthy and eats and sheds great. So I think some snakes are just that way
