    Non cooling and feeding?
Hey there this is my first year breeding and have chosen that I am going to use the route of non cooling this year my room ambient temp is getting a bit cooler automatically as they are in my bedroom but was wondering?

do i still feed the fems weekly med rats? or do i drop the size of the rats to smalls / weenlings as soon as the males are introduced?or stop feeding totally ?

all my fems are up to size just wondering when or how i should be feeding these fems.

I currently have none of my breeders refusing to feed at all when offered.

    Thanks

I gave my girl the option last year, as soon as she started breeding she stopped eating. She didn't start again until about 2 weeks after she laid. My male at every week while breeding.

    Here you go --> http://www.ballpython.ca/gallery/breeding.html

We keep feeding smaller rats, if they want to eat that is.

    FEED, FEED, FEED
Right now I am feeding females whatever they will eat and boy are they eating.
Most of my big girls have eaten 2-3 or more meals a week for the past 3 weeks and are still acting ravenous.

Letting the female stop eating that early by not offering meals is not something I'd ever do.
I want my girls eating until they go into glow if possible, females that don't eat during breeding tend to throw a lot more slugs...

Offer small/weanlings weekly until you see an ovy is my suggestion.

So just keep feeding Med rats to the fems weekly until they slow down?
or should i immediately swap over to smalls or weanlings immediatly?

or should i wait until i see this glowing ?

Im just trying to figure when i should change up.

Right now they will all wolf down a med rat no issues.

Will it cause any issues if i throw a male inside the enclosure?
Should i throw the male with her after 2 days of feeding her still?

Keep feeding her until she starts to slow down. If she starts not taking food offer her smaller prey items. I would give her a day or two after feeding before I threw the male in.
