baby jungle carpet update....I am stumped....

So, I posted back on 9/24 that we had purchased a baby jungle carpet about a week prior....couldn't get her to eat....wasn't established before sold, etc etc...

I have tried and tried to find live hopper mice to entice her with, but to no avail...I left her alone in her tank from the time I posted for a few days, reoffered, no go.

So, as of now, at my best guess, she is at at the very least 3 weeks without eating, I honestly don't know that she has ever eaten anything.....I am just getting worried:( and super frustrated.....I read up on assisted feeding via NERD.....I checked the inside of her mouth and didn't see anything out of the ordinary, so I attempted an to assist feed by putting the mouse pink in her mouth as much as I could, and then put her down....she just shook it out and went the other direction.....I am becoming quite frazzled with this little thing....any ideas, even if it includes finding her a new home with a more experienced keeper that can do more than I ......Thanks in advance.:confuzd:


ps: I also very rarely see her move around, and I have never seen her at the water dish, although I know thats not entirely abnormal, I don't necessarily see my bp's at theirs either except on occasion

What kind of enclosure is your carpet in? Temps, humidity. Carpets can be arboreal but my IJ is happier in a tub in my snake rack. Could you post a pic or two of your set up?

i will but it will have to be tomorrow....I can't find my camera and i broke my droid razr last night...ugh...

Have you tried perches yet? Babys JCPs seem to favor death from above.

yep...have perches...she doesn't use them...she will get up on the thermometer thing stuck to the inside wall of the cage though, she gets part of her on that and part of herself on a perch...
